A Business Development Manager is responsible for seeking and attracting new customers through networking, referrals, and cold calling. A successful person in this role should be good at lead development, problem solving and troubleshooting, negotiating, closing sales, and teamwork.
The Business Development Manager position is paid using a base salary plus commission structure. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s mission, vision, and values. In addition to the competitive salary, business development managers may be eligible for benefits and perks like:
